Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on railway component systems mainly gearboxes and couplers.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during maintenance activities.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with railway equipment and systems.
- Execute timely and effective repairs to minimize service disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.
Field Service Support:
- Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly.
- Conduct on-site assessments and collaborate with other teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide technical support to field personnel and ensure proper implementation of maintenance procedures.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities, including findings, solutions implemented, and future recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and maintenance history.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, including engineering, operations, and safety, to ensure seamless railway service.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. (NOT Mandatory)
- Previous experience in railway maintenance or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of railway systems, equipment, and safety standards.
- Technical proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing railway components.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a field-based environment and respond to emergencies outside regular working hours.
